According tot the American CDC, hand sanitizer should contain at least 70% alcohol to be effective. Some essential oils are knownfor there anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties.
Tea Tree Oil:
Tree oil contains a number of compounds, including terpinen-4-ol, that have been shown to kill certain bacteria, viruses and fungi
Terpinen-4-ol also appears to increase the activity of your white blood cells, which help fight germs and other foreign invaders.
Lavender Oil:
It is a natural anti-oxidant and has anti-microbial properties. It also has calming and sedative properties so will also help to reduce stress and aid in better sleeping.
So here goes: For a gel hand sanitizer
10 drops Lavender Oil
20 drops Tea Tree Oil
100ml Vodka or rubbing alcohol or 70% alcohol or surgical spirits
30ml Aloe Vera Gel
Mix in a glass bowl and fill you container.
To make spray hand sanitizer replace the Aloe Vera Gel with with witch hazel and pour into a spray bottle.
